There are two kinds of funds available on your card. Benefit funds and Rewards & Incentives funds.
- Benefit funds are the funds you get under your OTC, Grocery (if applicable)* and Utility (if applicable)* benefits. These funds are loaded onto your card at the beginning of every calendar quarter (January 1, April 1, July 1, and October 1). These funds expire at the end of each calendar quarter (March 31, June 30, September 30, and December 31). Once your funds expire, new funds will be loaded onto your card at the beginning of the next quarter (January 1, April 1, July 1 and October 1).
* The Grocery Benefit and the Utility Benefit are part of a special supplemental program for the chronically ill. Not all members qualify.
- Rewards & Incentives funds are the funds you earn for taking care of your health. You can earn up to $245/year in Rewards & Incentives. As long as you are an active plan member, these funds will not expire. For additional information see the Rewards & Incentives section.
